The Hawai`i Lodging and Tourism Association, Kaua`i Chapter works with businesses in the Kaua`i community who share our interest and concerns.
We represent the lodging and tourism industry which generates the greatest tax revenue and the largest number of jobs in the State of Hawa`i – one out of every three jobs! A primary objective of the Hawai`i Lodging & Tourism Association is to keep our businesses, communities and members informed of the issues and developments affecting the visitor industry and our community.
HLTA, Kauai is committed to help provide overall support and contribution to a better quality of life and environment for the Kaua`i community and our Kaua`i visitors.
OUR GOALS
Government Representation: To advocate the needs of our members with Federal, State and County Governments. Our affiliation with AH&LA also provides our members with valuable lobbying on Capitol Hill to provide a business climate in which the industry can prosper. Locally, we actively participate in the State and County Government level.
Continuing Education: To provide educational opportunities, timely information and appropriate resources to members, legislators, media and the community. Throughout the year, a number of educational opportunities are provided at seminars on issues affecting the hospitality industry, training programs, training manuals and various certification programs as well as the HLTA resource library.
Giving Back & Securing the Future: To support and contribute a better quality of life and environment for the community and our visitors. Annually raise funds statewide for charities, offer several scholarships to college and university students, and coordinate partnerships between hotels and public high school students on educational programs.
